P.M. Dawn's output up to this point I dig, but this album leaves me dumbfounded. They employ Chris De Burgh's Lady In Red, and so many lyrics are about hate, that word used so much it gets on my nerves listening through it in one session.referencing Dearest Christian, I'm So Very Sorry For Bringing You Here. 'Misery In Utero' is a beautiful track from a beautiful album. Superb Jazzy-Guitar sample running through it. Very, very underrated band, nice, mellow-chilled vibes, very melodic and catchy tunes. This crystal clear sounding CD is going for pennies, grab their entire back catalogue before people start catching on to this mega band.referencing Dearest Christian, I'm So Very Sorry For Bringing You Here. I want this (or at the very least the single ‘Being So Not For You’) on vinyl so badly! If only the Best Of was on vinyl! Ugh!referencing Dearest Christian, I'm So Very Sorry For Bringing You Here. Love, Dad (CD, ) 63881-32518-2

PM Dawn's repertoire never deviated much from the formula they helped pioneer, which by the time of this album had become the predominant sound of harmonizing pop vocal groups. However, I would say that in every respect, this is the most mature album they ever made. Don't be put off by the cover art and title. If you like the cosmic, poetic sound of their R&B hits, this album has very much that same vibe from start to finish. There are no big radio singles here, though, just relentless ear candy. The instrumentation, melodies and harmonies, and production are superb throughout.
A bonus track, "Gotta Be Movin' on Up (Main Mix)", is tacked onto the non-US editions. This radio-friendly, non-album single from 1997 has a guest lead vocalist, and is based on the bass synth melody from Imagination's "Just an Illusion". Although it's not a bad song, it does not belong on this album at all, really.
