The American Analog Set produced three psychedelic slow-rock masterpieces in the late nine-ohs'. This is the first. Their introduction to the world is sprawling and labyrinthine and unpolished, but oh-so-ripe. The music may be described as organ-driven, lyrical post-rock, marching forward in a pseudo-raga format. The recording is so warm and fuzzy that, predictably, the best way to hear this album is via analog reproduction (i.e. vinyl). Try to obtain a copy and get lost in it.
