Nina Simone – Pastel Blues

This is just something else. If you are a fan of any kind of music, genre allegiances sweetly dissolve here! By far one of the most moving (and best-sounding) records in my collection. I cannot wait to get my hands on Spell now... Anyone know if Acoustic Sounds is reissuing other albums than those two?

Her haunting song "Strange Fruit" is the absolute highlight on this album. It sounds so incredibly good. Superb as always: everything Acoustic Sounds makes is top of the line. Sturdy jacket, anti static inner sleeves, oh so silent vinyl and a great soundstage. Killer!

This record is the perfect album. Everything is so well done and this is one of my best sounding albums. If you are on the fence buy this, otherwise you will regret it. It is still in stock at AS

Just managed to grab a new copy of this from UDiscovermusic for $35. It went straight to sold out after I bought though haha. Must have got lucky. But looks like a new print is dropping

Download only as mp3, website from them asks for email password (unless you login in with tumblr or youtube or others I do not use). Download without it not possible. Record was warped and could not be played, download not secure. Thanks for nothing, back to black.
I cannot comment on pressing, usually they are good. My complaint refers only to the download page. Why is the code not enough...?

Buyers Be Careful! I ordered this Acoustic Sounds version from a seller 're-mix' who is still offering more versions of this Acoustic Sounds but was sent the cheaper Back to Black 2016 version. Check this seller actually has the Acoustic Sounds 2020 version before you order.

Simply a great pressing. Very quiet vinyl sounds sweet. vocals are bright, (sometimes maybe too much), music is full. Truly a perfect pressing. Highly recommended! Feels as I'm in the room. Love it and Nina sounds just .. the sweet sounds of Simone!

Contrary to schimek's statement, this record is waaaayyyy more silent and better pressed than any Tone Poet release I own (or used to). Releases like this should be the standard for vinyl manufacturing companies, RTI might want to start taking notes from QRP. Indeed a sublime reissue.
