Fantastic record!
Anyone else get some slight distortion of the vocal on Sanza -Sounouh on this pressing? Particularly from the right...
Edited 2 years agoTop notch compilation! The feel is slow moody music not over produced some tracks very with a little spice but always with an earthiness....You can almost smell the soil, fragrant plants and foliage that offer essence of gratitude thru sound. As much an aficionado of off beat music I am unfamiliar with all the musicians..no matter the music speaks in silent poetics..Especially enjoy the inclusion of flutes, dulcimer and tablas! There are some more "modern" instrumental tracks but I fathom these are 80s synths(I swear I hear a Yamaha TX8-z!) and even tho dated the addition of real-time percussive-sens adds the richness which makes this a truly wonderful release. Mr. Schulte we thank you !
Lovely compilation, but really Troubadix In Afrika is THE track! Music can't get more beautiful than this.
Not only this compilation is lovely, but the pressing is spotless. I've been playing this quite loud several times and there's not the beginning of the slightest crackling sound. Moreover, the sound dynamics are splendid.
I also like the artwork, and they keep repressing it. You cannot do better than this.

This is so good that it doesn't even matter that there's no Peter Giger track on it. Absolutely fantastic selection of beautiful music.

amazing album, mix of like dancey stuff and more meditative ones! All with drums/bongos no doubt ;)- There couldn't have probably been a better cover-art choice for this!
