Kings Of Leon – Aha Shake Heartbreak

Don’t pay big money for this. The Chris Bellman cut of this is far superior in every way. Not an example of a first pressing worth seeking out.

Fills the room amazingly, quite good mastering.

Sadly, my copy presented an unbearable to my ears amount of clicks and louder pops, mostly muffled by the songs, but really present on tracks like B2 Milk.

I'll give it another go by 2024 probable anniversary edition.

Can anyone confirm if the ‘booklet’ with lyrics is more than just a single page insert?

This is the reissue I have. I bought it a few years ago, and had it listed in my discogs as the 2013 reissue based off of the deadwax info, since it's the same, but my gatefold actually shows a 2011 copyright. This is also cut by CB and pressed at United, same as 2013.

The sound here is a significant improvement on the original clear 2x10'' copy I had. Sound is fantastic and wide open, as expected when CB gets quality recordings to work with. The pressing is better than most at United, but still has a fair amount of surface noise even after extensive cleanings. Still worth a purchase 100%

Yep, agree with the other reviews, the sound is excellent. Mine is also pretty clear, good-looking issue.

Sounds like the songs have been recorded on a worn out tape.

Mine is the 2013 RCA pressing. Great quality. Pressing is fantastic, noise free, warp free, centered.
Sound is full, nice details up high, great bass extension. In terms of the album, most know that this was the high point by a mile.
This album is a classic and mainly the only I listen to anymore. I do wish they could fit this on a single LP release - it's just not long enough to deal with the bother of frequent trips to the table, but at least it sounds great; many double-releases can't claim that at all.

Great sound. Looks to have some light white marbling on it, and a slight yellowish tint.
