A powerful introduction to one of the greatest (if not the greatest) ghazal duos ever. My favourite of theirs is the live album they did a couple of years after this one (Come Alive) and they cover a few of these songs there. But there's no mistaking their power as singers and composers, especially Chitra Singh, whose voice is so pure and cutting, and is so complementary to Jagjit's bassier, unmistakable delivery.
