The Stone Roses – Second Coming

I purchased this CD back in the day & the copy I got had the 2CD version AND the numbered slip case.

Still makes me smile that the bonus tracks are still screwing up Microsoft media player which runs out at 50 tracks. The lads are still trolling me 30 years later.

Not sure why there are so few of this version of the original pressing available or owned compared to the others, but it sounds great. An album which wasn't well received at the time, we basically wanted a new version of the first album and we got a rock album just as the whole Britpop thing was kicking off. But taken away from the context of the time it's a fabulous album. Their first will always be my favourite but revisiting this album just reminded me how good it actually is.

What a great fun album. Could do without all the blank tracks at the end though and that "bonus" track isn't anything worth listening to. Just gibberish.

This band must be one of the most overated bands ever.Bought the first album because of good reviews but turned out the be such a BIG dissapointment.The second coming is actually really good,there are actually some tunes on this one.They only made two albums and that don’t qualify as proper rock gods,come on really!?.Off course this is only MY oppinion.

This pressing is absolutely killer. Huge sound, terrific dynamics, and great detail and separation. Dead quiet throughout, which is especially important for the long, ambient intro to Breaking Into Heaven. I paid a pretty steep price, but totally worth it if you're looking for a great sounding version of this album.

Just got the latest 2022 pressing of this wonderful album and it sounds amazing. Real care has been put into the packaging and the pressing is nice and flat with a great full dynamic sound. Really nice mastering. I’m transported back to the early 90’s all over again. At my age I wish I could go back! 😁

I've the recent 2022 repress and it sounds fabulous. I'm excited to dig more into The Stone Roses!

It seems that there has been done a repress in November 2022. Also by GZ Media, with same master, but without Back To Black sticker and without download code. Artwork etc has been unchanged.

My copy of this pressing of the LP sounds phenomenal. In fact I'm listening to is right now on my Sony-WH900N headphones with a wired connection and it sings beautifully with great detail on high and lows, great separation and soundstage. I recommend.
