It does have a little more bass than the CD, but also lacks clarity and definition.
Do not recomend it over the CD.

Echoing other reviewers praise. The record is flat and there is NO surface noise. The music is dynamic and lively. What every record should sound like. Cover is colorful. Wish it was a little thicker, but it suffices. The only thing I can complain about is the inner sleeve, which is made with some crappy type of paper.
