R.I.P Micha K. You were a genius. None of the remixes come close to your original Bodydub version. It's only today that I realize that there are some parallels with NOUS SAVONS TOUS by Telex. Wish I could ask you now. I am proud to have been a part of this release 14 years ago...

What is Electro? Well it's a lot of things including Florida Breaks and Detroit Techno, also Disco and Synthpop and House. Even Industrial and Hip Hop. This falls into the Disco side of Electro, and a instant classic at that. Don't be shy to Electro, explore all it has to offer.

I wouldn't call this Electro, they all have 4 on the floor beats.. much more closer to house/disco or techno.. Most definitely not Electro, be careful as to what is mislabeled .

The Freak Electrique remix something really special. Acid-laden, electro, club vibe. You put the needle on the record and you're immediately teleported to a club a la 80's. Think strobe lights and green lasers and smoke machines and mysterious ladies grooving and swaying slowly to the rhythm. Out of this world.

Once in a while a record comes along that throws the rule book out of the window and totally blows the listener away. 'Body Dub' and the mysterious Unit 4 have created one of those unique moments.

To pigeon hole this as an electro track is totally wrong. This is raw '88 Chicago house, techno, electro, disco, 'monster' dub (the underlying bass line is the driving force in the track) topped off with washes of glorious synth. As original as you can get.

You cannot categorises this record - just file it under 'very special'.
The limited promo sleeve is a white inner-bag with a screen print on the front - and centre label - signed by Emil Schult. The record comes with an info sheet containing artist, track and design information.
