- I simply wouldnt pay big bucks for this when the counterpart CD set sounds just as amazing at a fraction of the price.
That being said my particular box is generally excellent. The only aspect i dont like is the low rent jackets (all but Karma are slightly seem split too). The pressings themselves are each flat, unmarked and silent... typical of the superb Record Industry plant. They really do do reference vinyl!
The sound obviously varies from disc to disc. The Nightfly sounds amazing on every single release so its no suprise it does here. Morph sounds big and lush like always. Karma sounds dry and light and synthetic as always but the colour of my rig helps this outdo the CD i have by a hair. Sunken Condo's remains a very underrated album but sadly still rather mediocre sounding.
Im like everyone who got this at retail.... happy! But if i had missed out id be paying no more than £25 or $ per record so 125 tops and i certainly wouldnt be paying three or four times that more. 
Jeez. Am I glad I got this on Amazon for £75 all those years ago?
Let's hope a reprint comes out soon because when it came out it cost 75 euros. I bought two and sent them back because the covers were ruined. If I had known before I would have kept them
WARNER! Please re-press this. The demand is clearly there. (Maybe just reproduce the gatefolds next time)
I can only echo the previous praise for this set-hopefully it gets a repress so others can appreciate it.- Fucking hell!! Its around 900% higher priced than its original release price, wish Id got it then but I was broke!
This box set is the one to get. Superb in every aspect. And the music is just excellent!!

I was introduced to Steely Dan from a British TV show called the Old Grey Whistle Test. I was instantly hooked on them. I own their complete anthology in a limited edition box set, as well many of the 1st pressings. Although only 2 versions of Aja!
