Bo Hansson – Sagan Om Ringen

My copy is the Charisma 1983 pressing with blue labels. The matrix on the other hand is the same as the Charisma 1972 pressing.

Live versions of some of these titles can be found on the Flasket Brinner "Swedish Radio Recordings" box, when Hansson was a member of that group.

I really enjoy this record. Before I enjoyed watching the films I enjoyed listening to this record. Beautifully composed tunes with a recurring theme.

An early prog rock album and also one of the first synth-driven albums I ever bought. It's a little corny at places and doesn't really evoke Lord of the Rings (and I was listening to this before the great Howard Shore soundtracks). But it's a strong musical artifact from 1970 and an album I still enjoy listening to even after all these years.

This Canadian pressing sounds good! I'm guessing you could go for either the GRT or Quality pressing and be happy with the performance.

I have one of this vinyl I found in a second hand store. Side 1 is the right side one, side two is a completely different album from UFO. Does anyone had this problem or know anything about it?

My copy has a different matrix number. Everything else is a match. The matrix number is: SRALS 24600A / SRALS 24600B. What version do I have

My copy has this record with the same matrix numbers but a cover with Sam distribution etc. on the back. Has a cover and a sleeve been mixed up or was there a copy like this?

I find it hard to believe that this is a legit version.

Love this record! The soundtracks to the movies are great but very slick and produced. Hannson gives these themes some classic old synth, mellotron, and drum machine treatments, rendering a more raw and mysterious feel consistent with the feeling we got reading the books back in the 70's.
