The Charlatans – Between 10th And 11th

My favourite Charlatans album, loved it since its release. Very happy to have been able to grab a fantastic original copy of this on vinyl at a reasonable price considering how the price of so many 90s album have gone through the roof.

No pressing issues here. Played clean out of the box - no pops, etc. Dynamics are much better than my original CD I bought back in the early 90s; bass has more depth and punch, better separation. My guess is that later pressings of this version "fixed" earlier issues, but who knows these days. Live album is a great addition and adds context to the band at the time (I saw them on this tour and the live recording lives up to their great live shows). Recommended.

Excellent pressing...except for side B. First two tracks are almost unplayable on my copy do to pops and one skip. Other than that I think its great. Could maybe be a little louder but that's a minor quibble. I think the isolation disc sounds great and truly makes this a worthwhile addition.

I have an autographed version of this box set that the label gave to the store that did the best store display for the album. My store won which was called The Compact Disc Store which was located in Bolingbrook, Illinois. The entire band autographed the top of the box.

My copy has minor pops. Overall excellent pressing in my opinion. The live album is worth the price alone.

Spend some extra money on an original vinyl, this album deserve a better pressing, (and the live stuff is not so exsiting).

Abysmal pressing. Whoever was in charge of quality control didn’t even listen to a test pressing because they would have noticed the audible gaps between the seamless songs. An insult to band and amazing album, this version should be recalled by the label. Surface noise is present as well. This was part of the great vinyl rush of 2020 where labels tried to put out as much stuff as fast as possible to make a buck and it shows. Just, unreal that this made it to the shelves.

Unfortunately also the new version is not without manufacturing issues. My copy has microgaps in the transitions between Ignition > Page One and Tremelo Song > The End Of Everything. No microgaps at all between Weirdo > Chewing Gum Weekend and the whole Isolation live CD. Could anyone check his/her new copy in hand?
My copy arrived few days ago from an independent UK retailer, not Beggars Banquet Arkive, that informed me of the delay in delivery so I can suppose my copy is the new one... anyway I have contributed matrix and SID codes of my copy so everyone can check
