Sounds perfectly fine through my Hitachi HT550, Qkai AM2800 and Sound Dynamics 15s

This type of remaster to me just isn’t worth it. There’s still too much compression. Sounds lousy on my system. And yes, Name sounds even worse.

No problems with mine either. Crisp and clear throughout. Dynamic and huge sounding on my system. Way better than the 2015 pressing to my ears.

The gatefold sleeve is really well done. It’s what I expect from an Anniversary Deluxe Edition. The color of the records are beautiful—I didn’t realize they were translucent blue until it arrived. The sound quality is good. There was a bunch of factory debris in the inner sleeves that caused superficial scuffing on the records when removing them from the sleeves. A couple runs through an ultrasonic cleaner removed most of the debris from the records themselves, and they play without pops and crackles.

I’m actually pleasantly surprised how great this album sounds considering how much they crammed onto 1 LP - there is almost no runout on either side, so I was prepared for a murky mess … but just listened to both sides - great master - quiet, clean, good bass … I didn’t even get the inner groove distortion I was expecting … I think most would have preferred it to be mastered over 2 LPs without the bonus live show, but considering they went this route, it’s a really strong pressing that I can easily recommend. 4/5

My black pressing has no problems towards the end of A. I actually prefer this pressing over my 2015.

Picked mine up from Rock n Roll Land in Green Bay WI. There never a problem with anything new or used here, awesome shop!No issues with noise after a cleaning. Biggest issue was static and paper/vinyl shards from the paper inner sleeves. Shame! Should have anti static or at least plastic inners on a 30th anniversary release! “Name” is loud and clear but at least on the first spin, just doesn’t sound like I remember it from radio, cd, and live. Why wouldn’t they release this on two LPs and do the live thing in another release?

Had the same problem, got a replacement from Amazon and glad to say the copy I got doesn't have any noise or distortion on Name or the last song on side B!

Sounds great!!! I didn’t hear any distortion at the end of the First side concerning the track Name! I did wish I purchased the blue copy that’s probably still available on the band’s website!

I don't have any other pressings to compare this one to, but this sounds excellent for those curious. Seems to be mastered very nicely. Pro-Ject Debut Carbon with Ortofon 2M Blue.
