“Empty Talk”, the artist’s first full LP since 2000. This album is sparse and meandering in its playful piano abstraction. At times the songs are somber, others sound lackadaisical. Coming from the this artist, it’s not a surprise, as she does this very well, and with intention.
Being a fan of her first LP “Ongakushitsu”, I can say comparatively that the former is more magical, mysterious and dreamy. Where, this lp is colder, more empty room with shawdows and falling leaves outside a living room window.
