Fantastic release to a great cause!! Hope everybody supports this by buying it from 7thstorey directly instead of the greedy people trying to sell it at inflated prices over here !!!

A worthy cause indeed backed up by three stellar labels. An EP that will be sold out very soon, don't sleep.

So what is this all about, well frankly the back cover says it all - "A Junglist celebrates, grieves and remembers through amen, so we said it in the way we know best" And this does not disappoint, I'm not kidding.

7th Storey step up with Drum Cypha & Mantras' 'The Hollow' which starts with lovely pads and chords quickly setting the mood, weaving swiftly with weighty and skippy jazz fused beats, multi layered percussion elements and sultry female vocal grabs. Just as the mood is locked, Amens muscle in, chopped and woven neatly with quality drum edits and soulful intelligent manners.

Not wanting to be outdone, Fusharas' Making Enemies' sets the tone with film noir style atmosphere, more jazzed out beats and gorgeous and big bass tones that flex nicely. Once again the Amens are lurking and before long their presence is felt once again, this time more restrained, but no less deadly. The mood quickly develops into a scifi-esque vibe which is rich, detailed and thoughtful.

Next Up, Subtle Audio offer us Mecca, who gets to work, lashing us with 'Solar Ice' a Tech infused wonder of distortion, muted sounds, snappy breaks, beautifully deep pads, deep rumbling bass, and serious Drums, which really sets the pace and vibe. Its one to get lost in, with its wonderful little grabs from Foul Plays' 'Being With You'. The intensity of the beats increase until very quickly your engulfed, melding in thick bass swirls, and more and more beat patterns. The beats are so perfectly assembled for me, the atmosphere is electric and quite special.

Codes 'Set Me Free', harks back to that golden era around 93/94 to my ears with a Jungle Breakbeat Hardcore sound, kicking it off right away with classic breaks, eerie vocals, thundering bass and trippy soundscapes that add too the smokey vibes. More and more elements are added, but it works nicely as the placing and quality of the sound effects adds more and more to the feeling. I really like the style of this track.

So what say you Sci Wax, 4 offerings have already left me gasping, can the quality remain high, lets be honest who is gonna doubt these two heavy weights at the top of their game? not me, thats for sure.

Nebula takes this next level with 'Parasomnia' a dystopian scifi wonder. A man who can create such beauty with his choice of pads, gets your attention immediately with those uplifting and positive sounding notes, before unleashing heavy heavy beats, shuddering bass, and echoed out drum edits. What I love about Nebula is the ability to stop and start, stop and start without losing momentum, a real skill. and Im sure great to dance too giving you chance to come up for air, before plunging back into the deep. Make no mistake this is amongst the best I have heard from him and that is saying something.

So finally Equinox delivers his track 'Running' which is something like a 1 inch punch of mechanical beats, being complex, uncompromising and insanely heavy. This track is so complex, deeply technical and a marvel to behold. The use of Reggae chat, oldskool female vocals, and bags of more Scifi style elements brings this all together. I have to say it brings a smile to my face and my feet which want to start moving as I type this.

Wow, just wow.......................killer 3 plates of goodness.
