The tweak in’ mix! And the Master mix has that Paul Johnson Get Get Down vibe. Great track!

How can't you dance to this one?! Shreds the floor every time. 5 star piano house

I think there is something about the simplicity of the "12 Master" with that huge piano hook that get draws you in and creates such a happy uplifting vibe. "Red Jerry Mix" injects a bit more energy into the track as you would expect. Huge track that seemed to be around for along time with all the remixes it got, still a sucker for the original release which includes another great but less well known track "Here We Go", with its big house groove, repetitive vocal and familiar samples.

Man did I ever get my money's worth out of this 12"...I got great use out of all 4 mixes! Just rotated them depending on my nights / crowds.
12" Master as the default, Radio if I was going more vocal-heavy, The Tweakin' (which I LOVED) on a night when the dance floor was in a progressive mood, and the Bathtub Dub to either warm up with at the very start of the night, or part of my closing tracks towards the end of the night as the place was starting to empty out.

The piano line is obviously inspired by The Believers - Who Dares To Believe In Me? (hence the name of the track I suppose)

the piano chords are the same chords played slightly differently from those in The Believers Track "Who dares to believe in me? so its not really a sample! i think the correct terminology would be to say that the chords are "covering" the chords in the original... rather than sampling! if you look up "Cover Version" on wikipedia, it says: "a cover is a new performance or recording of a previously recorded, commercially released song by someone other than the original artist or composer" but yes, at the end of it all, its just a politically correct way of saying they stole it ;) hah!

anyone have any idea of the original source of the vocal? because its heard plain as day on the jazz'n'groove track "love each other" on playtime records back in 1993, so obviously the vocals could not have been recorded in 1995.

Shindig was a great label while it was around and this was their big crossover track "I Believe", which is a simple vocal track with a monster piano riff that simply blew the roof off ! Huge tune that built in the clubs and crossed over into the charts. This 12" has the original versions which are slightly less full on than the later releases.
But its well worth checking "Here We Go" too on this 12" as its really nice cheeky sampled house number, with it again simple "Here We Go ahh hha " and Todd Terry sampled loops.
Really worth checking the Shindig releases there's some great house tracks on this label.
