- I will never understand why this isn't as loved as the earlier singles. I've heard the criticisms from Danse fans-- too loud, big and "overproduced" drums, etc. You need to approach this with fresh eyes. It's pure stadium Goth, Post-Punk, anthemic, big guitar, driving, hard hitting energy I love and it's the epitome of 1986. As good as Killing Joke's Love Like Blood, The Sisters, The Mission, Balaam and the Angel, etc. I struck gold in the 1$ bin which had every single of The Danse Society, but this one was the one I ended up enjoying the most as I'd never heard of it before. Brilliant. It's a shame the album never came out and they just left us with this piece, but what a high note to go out on.
