There are two USA 12" pressings that got proper crediting for "Chic Music, Inc." but don't show the song being written by Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers. These are: Rapper's Delight / Rapper's Delight.

The song's intro is an interpretation of "Here Comes That Sound Again" by British studio disco group Love De-Luxe. The track is formed extensively from the bass line from Chic's "Good Times" which originally was not cleared or credited to Chic. Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards threatened legal action over copyright, which resulted in a settlement and their being credited as co-writers.

Great copy. Can’t complain with this OG copy. Love the sleeve. One of my earliest memories of music. I was nine when this song dropped. The cultural shift that was felt when this song came out was immediate. Break dancing came with this movement. It was incredible to see it happen when it did. This is the first 12" that I bought, at the age of 10, and I've it's still prime place in my vinyl collection. A classic Hip Hop release that is widely known by all generations.- This version is the very first pressing. Red label allegedly limited to 3000 copies. Plays well, bass is punchy on my little edified speakers
