One of the weaker "rare psych" privates out there. I tried several times to like it and it fell flat on its face every dang time.referencing Eric (LP, Album, Stereo) 11047
Listenable but quite mediocre overall. Certainly rare but several copies now surfacing. Massively overpriced.- Edited 6 years ago

TODAY, I LISTEN TO THIS ALBUM, SO ...
Teen garage quartet from Ohio. Two black guys and two white guys ; guitar, organ, bass and drums.
This album is in the same category as the SUMMER SOUNDS and the NEW DAWN album, not a heavy-hormones-out-of-control basher, but a group of teens with a musical vision, and the burning desire and the facility to carry it out, but also with a lost-in-time unique psych vibe. There are 10 tunes with echoey vocals, fuzz leads, some ballads that can weave you a couple of dreams. here, all originals, about ½ with a Christian vibe to them, but every one has an emotonal honesty, integrity and intensity which is lacking in so much of the crap that’s out there today. Many will gravitate to the heavier tunes at first « Sunshine Heartache » where they rock out over James Cumming’s bouncing, singing bass lines, « Waiting » that starts off with a spooky mystic organ and light Beatlesque harmonies, and the vicious guitar licks kick in with the guys wailing « Oh » as if possessed. Aftermultiple spins I actually like the more subtle tunes especially « Satcho’s Revival » and « Last Summer’s Dream » which sounds like it could have come from the LOVIN’ SPOONFUL [who are you woman, can I love you in my back seat ?].
Like SUMMER SOUNDS and the NEW DAWN albums, this may sound a little too tame at first, but also like the SUMMER SOUNDS and the NEW DAWN albums, repeat listenings are very rewarding as this is a strong grower !
One of those albums that catch up on you, get you hooked and finally floor you.
ERIC is the the name of the band...not a guy.
INSANELY RARE !!!
I saw this record twice in the 90's, only!
I saw the first in the mail order list of a legendary US collector/dealer from the 90's (it was at auction in the $ 500 range).
The second was in the mail order list of a legendary Belgian 90’s collector/dealer and also big friend of mine.
It was through my friend that I received the original in exchange…
