Has anyone ever seen a promo release of this in a blue vinyl "legal" folder with a promo Crush My Soul digipack single, a white label Selfless CD, two post cards and a Selfless sticker? I have one and am curious about what it is worth.referencing Selfless (CD, Album) mosh85cd
Not the best place to ask this but I I'm damn curious, does anyone know what the origin of this certain image in the booklet for Selfless is, that being the robotic figure on the cross? Is it from an old film or something? I've always wondered.- I´m with you guys: great sounding press and the packaging could have been fancier. Great job Earache!

Not sure whether to keep this new submission or add Earache label to https://www.discogs.com/release/edit/826677- Very good reissue. I wish the packaging could have been a bit more snazzy instead of just reproducing the original cover art and liner notes (which is by the way done beautifully). The pressing is excellent and the sound is perfect.
- One of their best. Incredible music throughout. Streetcleaner tends to be the fan favorite, but I've always loved this album got JKB's mellow vocals. Songs like Mantra and Empyreal challenge anything on streetcleaner in my opinion. Earache did a good job with the audio on this lp. Bass is right in your face, vocals sound crisp, and those whining guitars ring out like no other.

my absolute favorite Godflesh album. all the recordings from 1988-94 are great but this is the one i connect to the most. this album like Pure is very well balanced with songs of slight aggression along side beautiful and captivating songs that are some of the most depressing and heartfelt compositions i'v ever heard.
this is Godflesh's last good album till they turned into just another heavy metal band (96-01). even now with there new 2014 releases which reintroduced the long lost essential member the drum machine its missing such a vital component of Godflesh which is the melancholic tracks which convey a heavy sense of hopelessness and despair.
the overlly agresive new 2014 material just doesn't grab me like these old releases and the 96-2001 material is just awful. i really hope Godflesh in the future finds its way back to this middle-ground and stops with all the unconvincing shouting and forced sounding growls that seems to of infected the band from 1996-2014 cause i'm just not buying it.
Selfless is a very personal album to me and like all the Godflesh material from 88-94 has followed me from childhood till now at the age of 35 (i was 10 years old when i bought Streetcleaner in 1989).
if i was pressed to choose my favorite album of all time of any band in any genre i would have to say its Selfless.
