Buzzcocks – Another Music In A Different Kitchen

Why is this Wizard version selling at a higher price than others any ideas?

If anyone is missing the black sleeve to this I have one unfortunately can’t find anything but

Worst remastering job, EVER!
I had to remove the stylus and find my OG copy to compare, and THIS is what I found.
This reissue is:
1. Significanlty quieter than the original (I reckon at least 20% - from the analogue mixer EQ at least).
2. Has no definition anywhere AT ALL! Even when I tried the 4 band EQ on my Allen and Heath mixer there was NOTHING THERE!!
3. Whoever (re)mastered this should hang their heads in SHAME. One of the finest debut albums ever, in any genre, has been stripped of ALL vitality.
4. "Sourcing the original 1/4” tapes for the first time since the original 1978 release, Buzzcocks' thrilling
debut album at last sounds like it was meant to” .....WHAAAAAT?
Domino, did you COMPARE?
What a lot of TOSH from a supposedly reputable record company.
The original LP is head and shoulders better than this piss-poor pressing.
5. The reproduction of the sleeve etc, and sleeve notes etc. are the ONLY saving grace(s) of this issue.

Do yourself a favour... find an original, and give this a MISS.

My copy of this release has one dropout on Fast Cars. I would thank this might have been the stamper used on my pressing of this. I don't know if others have this problem with this release or I just got unlucky.

i have this one, i bought it at the time in san francisco, with the "PRODUCT" bag which i still have! i think the notes should mention the fact that there's a nice lock-groove of beeps and boops at the end of side 2...i don't know if non-porky pressings included this? anyway every song is as classic as the "singles going steady" songs; for me this is their best album start to finish...

This 24-bit 96kHz remaster (Qobuz), coming 40 years after its debut, sounds amazing. There's no ear daggers or boomy bass to contend with. I probably play this much louder than I should ;)

Weirdly no-one has mentioned the locked groove on this yet.
Presumably it's the same on the other PORKY and also the NICKZ early pressings.

wait a minute...the whole of the Electric Circus set? fingers crossed someone digs out the Joy Division...sorry, "Warsaw" set out of the archives sometime soon...although i do seem to recall reading somewhere once that Buzzcocks had recently signed their deal with UA and they sent the mobile recording studio to specifically capture their performance, so maybe not...

Dreadful pressing, lifeless, muffled and completely devoid of the zip of the original. Great packaging but honestly, find an original copy.

I think the quality of this reissue is outstanding in all respects. The sleeve and inner materials are beautifully printed and the thick black vinyl is perfect: very quiet and no pressing flaws. I cannot compare it to the original, but it sounds punchy and dynamic on my system.
