Still sound like the future. The Line is mental. At least 10 words must be entered. Please enter at least 1 more.- For people complaining about various aspects of this 2013 'deluxe' reissue, there seems to be a comprehensive new digital only release with all original album tracks included and all mixes, etc:

℗ 2023 Fantasy Records - Edited one year agoI just bought this CD still sealed as a US import into the UK for less than £10. While there are obvious flaws (the House mix of Cosmic Cars instead of the original album version & then duplicated as an extra track plus the extra instrumentals in mono instead of their original stereo), this collection is still well worth getting & while I'm no audio expert, the remastering from the original tapes works for my ears. The plus side of this expanded reissue, aside from the extra tracks, is the 16 page booklet featuring an extended interview with the original players conducted by Dave Tompkins, author of How To Wreck A Nice Beach, a book on the history of the vocoder, its influence on electro & techno & its origins in the military-industrial complex.
Since this release in 2014, the album in its true original form was issued on vinyl in 2018 so as we stand in 2023, this is still the closest CD to the original 1983 pressing (all the other CDs replicate the iteration with the Jose Diaz Clear remix) & the extra 7 & 12 inch tracks while not quite making up for the mistakes, come close enough, especially when it's still so cheap to get your hands on a new copy.
As for the album itself, now celebrating its 40th year anniversary, it still sounds as fresh as daisies, capturing a moment before the techno blueprint became set in stone & the full range of influences (especially those of Rik Davis and his more 'rock' & 'British sound' such as Ultravox) are still apparent.
This is what makes the album still feel so alive, the way it captures the techno roads not travelled and the formulas not replicated, unlike the endlessly rehashed sound of what became techno, that we've been subjected to for the last 40 years; an endless (re)tweaking of a sound and genre that as the 1983 Enter LP illustrates, had its greatest moments in its most embryonic of forms (& I'm sure Rik Davis especially will appreciate this metaphor: just like the most complex and fully formed Egyptian pyramids were the first constructions) Other strains & influences, like the looming presence of the Kraftwerk overlords, only become even more apparent as the decades move on. referencing Enter (LP, Album, Pitman Pressing) F-9625
Crystal clear synthesizers and fantastic beats. An incredible album to kick off the American techno scene. As a purely streaming listener before recently finding this pressing, there is definitely an enhanced quality to the vinyl version of this album. Adds extra squeaks, bleeps, and other sounds that don't catch on the streaming remastered version. Can't recommend this enough for any electronic and dance music fan.- I found this mixed in the hip hop section. My gain. I can live with the oops mix of Cosmic Cars, just gimme a download of the original version and let's move on.

Does anyone know which releases include the original versions and not the remixes that are on streaming services?referencing Enter (LP, Album) F-9625
Scoured through my loft the other day, and found a long forgotten, shrinkwrapped copy of this album. Now, I don't really have the heart to unwrap it to find out if it's a cricket or Diaz version. No way to tell from the cover is there...?referencing Enter (LP, Album) F-9625
I still have the original copy I bought back in the early 80's... The version of clear people are looking for was never on the original album. It was on the 12inch single with industrial lies on the opposite side. I always liked the album version better myself over the 12inch version. The album was so hard to get back then, most got the 12 inch and was happy. And R-9 was never on the original album either. It also was a 12 inch single... When they started making the cd versions and downloads became available later on, they added R-9 to the album, the 12 inch version of clear, the house version of cosmic cars... But that wasn't the original lineup...
