James White & The Blacks – Off White

This is pretty out there and not at all what I was expecting based on the cover art. I was not familiar with this album at all and so glad I grabbed it. I think the variety of styles listed here are about as close as one can get to describing what this is. Worth a listen if you come across it!

Probably not worth another version but just picked up a promo copy of this gem of an album. Has a sticker on the front the says, “DJ Copy, Loaned for Promotional Use Only, Not For Sale.”

Can anyone explain why on every version of this album (LP or CD), after 1980 "Almost Black" has been split into Pts. 1 and 2? This makes absolutely no sense to me, and has kept me from buying a fresh copy to supplement this OG version I bought on release.

Why are these so cheap? I would assume that this is a sought-after record.

Does anybody know how originally looks the inner sleeve for the canadian version?
I bought this one few days ago at a flea market in Amsterdam and the inside jacket has generic A&M advertisements, so I suppose it's not the original one.

the vocals on A2 -Stained Sheets- are by the hot Ginger Lee not Lydia Lunch as stated on the Discogs release page

I own the UK version (ZE33033) and the US Version (ZE 33-003) and A1 is different. The US version has the spiced up Disco version. I also own the 12inch for Contort Yourself, and that is a slightly different version from the UK release, without disco beat.

Have both U.S. ZEA33-0033 and Canadian press ZEA33-0033, and the below review information about alternate disco beat versions is incorrect, they are identical. The Contort Yourself 12" U.S. ZEA 12-004 does have the alternate mix.
