I sent mine back. There were a few hissing noises on different tracks and the overall sound was somehow disappointing.- Have spent a long time trying to re-eq this to get it sounding better - the drums have absolutely no "vibe" whatsoever, the beats are terrible bog standard presets. The rest of the music is as good as it always was...Only for the completionists!
5 stars!!!! Great mixes!! Sometimes too much „bass“ but finally great ‚new‘ remixes of the oldschool The Cure classics!!!!
Does this release have any "mixed up extras" as found on the 2nd disc of the 3 disc CD issue?
is this the non picture disc? if so, I need this!
Edited 5 years agoGeneral sound quality is slightly changing from track to track. Although the vinyl doesn‘t sound bad the CD version sounds superior to that. Imho this vinyl release is for die-hard collectors only. All others should buy the 3CD set to get the rare remixes and the remastered original Mixed Up. The 2018 mixes are mostly crap but this is just my two pennies on this.

Pressing sounds good, but not my favorite cure album. I like the mixed up remixes much better
i honestly think most mixes on here are total rubbish... I would advise anyone thinking of getting this to give it a solid listen first
- Sound quality is fairly good considering the picture disc, the inner sleeves are nice too, all made of slightly thick plastic. Other than that, the remixes are not extremely interesting imho, i expected a bit more after sampling one track, i got sold so quick when i saw there was some 'new' the cure material. It's not bad nor awful by any means, just not bold enough for my tastes, still fairly enjoyable. would probably give it 4.5 stars all in all but it's not possible.
