One of the BIGGEST shames in break/big beat history, is that this album never released on a 12". This man dropped a KILLER album and disappeared. Makes me mad almost.

An indispensable LP if you"re into the Prodigy type of big beat. "Slayed" is my all-time favorite from this release, I wished they added it with "Supermoves" and "Stompbox" in the soundtrack of Gran Turismo 3. Instead, it was used for a Victoria Secret ad. Why not ?
Talking about "Slayed", there is a "Kostas Petropoulos" mix over 10 minutes long that is pure heaven. Strongly recommended piece of breakbeat.
Same with "Doomsday" ! The memories in Need for Speed : Underground are strong as well.
"Velocity Shift" also has an alternative version called "Moto-X" available on YouTube.

Nevertheless, there's not only big beat there. "Aquaplane" and "Sparks" are way slower and calmer with their downtempo pattern. The latter features orchestral elements that reminds me a bit of Rob Dougan.
Also, "Never" is a slow-paced hip-hop track which also turns into an orchestral atmopshere featuring female vocals.
At last, the final "Heligoland" is the more soothing piece of music of this entire CD. On Reddit, a user called "Teddy Army" tells that "the actual music is composed by reworking the BBC Radio's old introductory theme for the weather reports called "Sailing By"", and also that the purpose of this song is to "sum up the dreariness of England and especially of Leeds where Overseer is from, by taking the most British of things, the BBC and the weather and the maritime traditions of the nation, and turning it into a surreal and emotional piece of music that is beautiful in its own right". I personally like this idea.
However, what is the purpose of those last 20 minutes of non-stop ringing until that final "Hello" ? I don't find it very necessary. There are 1 or 2 other versions of this album that have the 7-minute long version.

In brief, if you're nostalgic of Playstation 2 video games and/or if you simply enjoy electronic music with big beats, then this record that is anything but wreckage is worth it.
