Terrible pressing, weak dynamics, and my personal copy is off-center enough to hear it referencing The Return (LP, Album, 180gr) BFR001LP
Disappointing sound quality on mine too - lofi jazz music?referencing The Return (LP, Album, 180gr) BFR001LP
Comes with a download card for the album on bleep.com. Album contains zero tracks! :D What a laugh!referencing The Return (LP, Album, 180gr) BFR001LP
Average pressing, many pops and crackles throughout both sides. Quite disappointing. Music is fine though.- Edited 3 years ago"Limited to 500 copies worldwide, 180g clear vinyl for 'National Album Day 2019'" - Bandcamp, The Return by Kamaal Williams, Limited Edition Clear Vinyl, https://kamaalwilliams.bandcamp.com/album/the-return

Ultra cool bassy jazz from the Peckham wunderkind. There’s more than a hint of the Herbie Hancock influence here, although the predominant flavour here is that of London and its recent musical history, some moments sounding like wordless grime or instrumental hip-hop. The only drawback is how short some of the tracks are, but then I guess there’s always the “repeat play” option for that.- Edited 3 years agoBlack Focus was nice, although kinda background music, really. This one is total 21st century elevator music. Totally dead in the water musically. Just awful. Be gone!

Also came to see if anybody had remarked on the disappointingly flat sound of this pressing. (black 180g)- Edited 5 years ago

Like someone mentioned below, "Black Focus" is a more solid experience, although some of the tracks here are just beyond words. First time I heard music from this genius was in July 2018, peaking on strong, pure acid to a 4-hour Mixmaster Morris-set at Ozora. I still have very vivid memories of going nuts to the second part of "Salaam”. My close friend, with whom I shared the trip with, came up to me, and all I could express verbally was the mantra "so much beauty, so much beauty, so much beauty".....
Seriously though - so much beauty....

Came here to see if anyone else had remarked on the rather ordinary sound quality on this pressing (black 180). Too bad as it’s a fine album.
