- This record is a 10/10 on my end! I highly recommend all three of the Marvels records but Lucinda Williams makes this one extra special. The version of "Angel" alone is worth the price of the album!

What a wonderfull music. Incredible taste. Precious voice. Perfect atmosphere. Oustanding sound.- I just received this record, do not know why it took so long, but I cleaned with Audio Desk before playing and I have not heard any issue with side 4. That was the first side I played due to comments below.
Love this record! - Music is 5 stars. I have two copies with basically the same issues noted by cdfreak1 below. Residue both times on side 4 (mixed results in cleaning), but gobs of crackly ticks in Angel in both cases. Very frustrating because this is a cherished album in our fairly large collection. Good luck. Unsuffer Me is worth the price of admission alone (took many cleanings to get it to play properly on the first copy purchased).
- I’ve ordered two copies of this album. One came from amazon in the UK, the other came from HMV in Japan (where I now reside). Both copies have the same issue with track B2 (Ventura) where, with about a minute left in the song there is a lot of continuous scratching noises until the song ends. This one issue makes it such a heartbreaker because the rest of the album sounds gorgeous. If someone has a copy that doesn’t have this issue, I’d like to know.
- Edited 6 years agoI had some NASTY effing surface noise on Side 4 that began mid-way into ‘Monks Mood’ and basically continued thru ‘Angel’ which killed the.. errr... MOOD of the side, ( 1/4 of the entire album). Cleaned with an Okki Nokki (helped a bit), otherwise, 3/4 of a nice pressing on double 331/3 rpm. Replacement sent, will update.
Update: Replacement copy arrived and it’s clean. :-)
