Nick Drake – Pink Moon

Help needed. I have acquired a first pressing on the pink rim label, but it came with a single sleeve. It is printed by Tinsley Robor and has the central 'I' logo on rear cover at foot, with Basing Street address. Track listing in light blue-green to bottom right. No barcode so likely 70s, but I can't seem to find this on here. Probably a mis-match in a second-hand record store once upon a time. Thanks in advance.

Perfect pressing. No issues at all. This is great to listen to.

Runout Etching does not inclucde i…i so it seems like this pressing was not cut by Magee.

If any one has a Mint sleeve and vinyl of this record, I am willing to pay a premium for it.

Codes on my copy are very slightly different.

I'd love to hear some OGs but this sounds really nice to me. Haunting music really. Hard to know whether to be happy because it's there or sad that it's words and melodies at the end of a kid's life.

Just bought this for $75 from local record store. Sealed. Dug it for years but never heard it on vinyl til now. Sounds like he's in my living room. Who else has popped for the full price on this? New or used?

A little late to the discussion, but my copy has the orange label, green palm tree and light blue ring. Matrix numbers seem fine. Green lyrics on left side of the gatefold. Confusing me is that on the back cover it says “Printed in England by Robor Limited. No address under Island Records, just the “I” logo above. Originally bought in the 70’s.

Nick Drake's final album is a haunting mix of beauty and sadness. This time around, he's entirely solo, with no string arrangements and no additional musicians. Just Drake's voice, acoustic guitar, and piano on a couple of tracks. So it's a very sparse production. This pressing is acceptable to my ears, it's not pristine, there are a couple of faint pops on each side, but it sounds warm, organic and intimate, with a lot of detail to the vocals and impeccably dexterous guitar playing. Five stars and a sad face.
