An eye opening approach to Brazilian Jazz-Fusion done in an ethnocentric way paying homage to new & old Brazilian Free Form. THis Album demonstrates Wayne Shorter's cultural-adaptive view point...if you have ever gone to Brazil and visited various regions Rio-Amazon-Belo-Salvador..... Wayne's interpretation and collaborations with Milton et al is refreshing and reminds me of my visits there and why I need to return soon.

Not much to say here, it's Wayne Shorter with Milton Nascimento, Herbie Hancock, Jay Graydon, and Airto Moreira. Whoa. That's a stellar lineup.

This is fusion with a touch of funk. Wayne does his best work when you just open it up and let him blow awhile.Highlights include "Beauty and the Beast", and "Ana Maria".

The recording is on point. Mixing is excellent. Pressing is fine. Recommended.

What a mesmerizing record! This remaster is close to perfect. Full, dynamic, glorious sound! Every instrument is given immaculate clarity and every little detail of the music comes through full force. I can't imagine this record sounding any better! If you don't have any Speakers Corners reissues, I highly recommend you pick one up, they do a fantastic job ensuring a quality record from start to finish. Easily a 10/10 for sound and packaging.
