Looking to buy a jacket only for this one. Let me know if you have one you want to sell!- Edited one year ago

Williams isn't present, but otherwise, members are clear enough. Noise is minimal; disc is severely warped. Good enough for a placekeeper, for sure. The music is quite good; not sure why this didn't get a normal release date. referencing The Soothsayer (LP, Album, Reissue) LT-988
Excellent pressing and excellent mastering for this masterpiece of an album. I picked up a second-hand version of this album at a local shop and am very excited. I was waiting for this one to be picked up by the Blue Note Classic or Tone Poet-series, but couldn't leave this one at the shop.
I am not trained to hear if this one is taken from a digital or analog source, but the sound is excellent to my ear. Clear and warm, just like I want it to be. Maybe the overall sound is a little more quiet than the Classic-series. But I find it no problem to turn the volume-knob a tad up. So no complaints here.
The album itself is one of the best Shorter-albums outthere and I always thought this one is overlooked and underrated. Maybe because it was only issued in the late seventies instead of the sixties.- Edited one year ago

My pressing has all sorts of weird patterns on the vinyl, but none of it has any sonic effect. I have occasional slight crackles and buzzes with some brass instruments. Not to the level of the Classic Reissue Series. I'm pretty happy with my vinyl since the look of the vinyl matters nothing to me.
The instruments are all well-defined and easy to pick out in space. Wayne Shorter is in the left speaker, or thereabouts, the drums and piano are in the middle, the bass seems to be to the right. The cymbals have full decay, the piano is that soft, warm Rudy van Gelder sound.

Non-fill on my copy on Side B. Also has an abundance of sleeve scuffs. Hoping for a BN Classics or Tone Poet reissue, as this is a great Shorter album.referencing The Soothsayer (2×LP, 45 RPM, Album, Limited Edition, Reissue, Gatefold, 180 g) MM-LT-988
The pressing and sound quality on this two LP set is other level even for MMJ. One of my favorites.referencing The Soothsayer (LP, Album, Reissue) LT-988
Well if I had to choose between a 15 euro Scorpio release and a 300 euro Music Matters release I’d go for the Scorpio simply for the fact that I am not able to spend such amounts on one LP. Like previous comments state: this one is not bad at all. Not a Tone Poet but very, very acceptable.referencing The Soothsayer (LP, Album, Reissue) LT-988
These Scorpio released Rainbo pressed BN reissues can be very very shoddy... ive returned over 50% mainly due to pringle esque warps and/or non fill. Im happy to report this suffers neither. The crappy inner does leave some marks which after a double deep clean are inaudible. Mastering is passable, music is brilliant. Recommended at the £13 i paid. At £25 or above hell no id want a BN classic or far better still a Tone Poet 🙏referencing The Soothsayer (2×LP, 45 RPM, Album, Limited Edition, Reissue, Gatefold, 180 g) MM-LT-988
The best sounding 45rpm MusicMatters Jazz album !!! But ofcourse the music itself is also awesome 👌referencing The Soothsayer (LP, Album, Reissue) LT-988
this one’s sound seems to be a bit darker than the recent 80th anniversary reissues of other BN artists. Still very good sound
