Same album, different cover — a common practice in those days when the store’s record displays had to stay fresh and new.- This LP was Roy Acuff’s second issue (HL 9010) on Columbia’s "Folk Music Series” of 10” albums. This one was released in 1949, the same year as his previous 10”er. It presents another selection of highlights from his 1930s/1940s recordings, but this time focusing on his dance repertoire of hoedowns, rags, and breakdowns. No tragic moments or drama here! Just cozy old time square dance.
