Contrary to some of the other reviews, I think the album is enjoyable. The track "Eroberung Der Stille, Teil I" is one of my favorite outro songs, and it's an experience that evokes a feeling that I haven't felt with many albums.

Just awful. If you're new to Faust stay far away.

If you feel like Zone-ing out this is top notch pioneers of the trade reunion. Headphones recommended and listen to the fish.

AFAIK, this album was not released in 1994, but 1995 (cd) and 1996 (lp).

This vinyl version appears to be a slightly different mix to the CD edition.

Not one of my favourite albums by (possibly) the greatest kosmische (or 'krautrock' if you prefer) band of them all. Somewhere along the line, after their reformation, a lot of the musicality, humour, whimsy and charm got lost. It's not the original line-up from the golden age anyway. There's a lot of silence (rien?) on the first few tracks....or they're just very quiet pieces that I struggle to engage with (maybe I'm missing the point?). The lengthy 'Listen To the Fish' track does approach some of the old Faust sound but it's laboured and unconvincing. I don't really like this album much. I hate to be a 'look-back bore' - but if you're new to Faust don't buy this - you'll wonder what all the fuss is about - get their first four albums instead and you won't be disappointed.
Every few years I dig this one out to play but I never enjoy it.
