Sea Level features various members of the then disbanded Allman Brothers whose instrumental skill is the main attraction & has them knocking out a driving melodic mix of Southern R&B/soul/funk/jazz fusion & includes some soulful Muscle Shoals Horns. The album is more Randall Bramblett’s than Chuck Leavell’s although the name Sea Level was a play on his name. Bramblett also has two critically acclaimed but underappreciated solo albums to his name (1975's That Other Mile & 1976's Light of the Night) that are worth checking out.

Still a classic record that aged well -sounds fine with very good piano-guitars and vocals...jazzy Southern Rock with hints of reggae and a relaxed groovy feeling.Fully recommended and one of my all-time favourites!
