Incredible-sounding, just like Aphex Twin's Warp releases are (mostly) known for. Packaging is very creative.

Pthex is one of the best track of Richard, so why Pthex isn't on the vinyl WHY!!???
The later pressings sound amazing, must have been a problem they ironed out.
still in stock at bleep.com, and like others have said, this tape is absolutely incredible sounding! go cop it while you still can and i hope they issue more of his work on type II's!!

Really fine piece of work, quality music all around. Some of his best stuff. Once again RDJ's sense of humour is so evident in his music, and some of these tracks just make me chuckle in a good way. I've always loved the "faux-menacing" sound many of his tracks have. His music is so identifiable - you immediately know it's Aphex. That personal touch has been a trademark throughout his career and there's just nobody else like him.
Unfortunately I have no idea why all six tracks couldn't have been included on the vinyl version. The total is only 35 minutes - there's just no excuse for that.

Such an outlandish set of songs from an even more outlandish artist. The PR campaign for this record made it all the cooler to own. The music video for T69 Collapse couldn't be aired due to failing the epilepsy test.
Top quality tape with music that is some of the best of RDJ's career, IMO. Perfect melding of his more acid-leaning complex production with the melodicism of SAW. Also, as far as tape packaging goes, one of the most beautiful in my collection. His aesthetic right now is brilliant.

Track 4 is my pick off this one, absolute bliss :-D The title track is also excellent, real attention to detail with the programming.
I have no problems with my copy either. There is an extremely faint crackle on Side A if you’re listening on headphones but inaudible otherwise.
