This track was an absolute bomb in NYC in 2002. Jonathan Peters made it locally famous by playing it at Sound Factory during his saturday night marathon sets. The track starts off with instrumental samples of the original "pump up the jam", then after about a minute or so of intro, the kick comes in HARD. There's a break towards the end of the track that uses snippets of the original vocal portion but never the full hook from the original.

People that clubbed in NYC during the Sound Factory/Exit era will know what I'm talking about when I say that this track typifies the signature Sound Factory sound had back then. Dark, drugged-out, relentless f*ckin beats.
