This was one of my very first records i bought back in 1995. A good compilation with "DJ ESP - Slow-Mo", "The Stickmen - Step-Tap", "Calisto - Get House" and first and foremost "Omegaman - Imaginary Trip" being my favorites here.- Great sampling of acid house on Cansda's Definitive Recordngs. DJ ESP's "Slo-Mo" & THX's "Sizzle" are probably the standout tracks to IMO.
BTW - My copy plays Sizzle perfectly & does not get stuck in any kind of "loop". A shame that a few others have reported this with theirs. I guess there must've been a bad run of pressings or something.. - Edited 18 years agoWhen playing Sizzle, the track remains stuck in a loop. After a couple of minutes I stood up and went to check it, indeed the track was not going any further. I accidently told this to a dj and he said the exact same thing about his copy! Dunno if this is a common mistake, but anyway it's not bad because it's inaudible and you can mix it for like 10 minutes :)
- DCC - Horton's groove, one of the bonus tracks on this release, is a acronym for Double Chocolate Chip - one of Tim Hortons (Canadian Coffee & Doughnut chain) specialties. And the track is actually by Jochem Paap!
