- One of the greatest acoustic blues albums of all time. I think this pressing dates back to the late 70's or early 80's, and I have zero complaints with the sound quality, the vinyl is quiet and the music sounds vivid and lively. My copy plays like new, pristine, with zero surface noise.
- This sounds fabulous. My copy is very quiet, no crackles and pops (very few at least). But the volume is also low, meaning i have to turn it way up. That said, it’s an audiophile experience for sure

I just have to pop in here and say that this pressing sounds clean and clear, no distortion whatsoever! Sounds like Son House is right in the room and makes the hairs on my arm stand up every time I spin it.

Harbeth Compact 7ES-3- Totally awesome blues album, with Son House front & center singing'n'playing the hell out of these blues numbers. It just doesn't get any more authentic feeling than this IMHO. The 10-minute epic 'Levee Camp Moan' that closes the album is unreal. Vinyl LP itself is dead-silent & as flat as Manitoba.
- Amazing pressing, I dropped the needle, heard nothing, and had to look to see if my amp was on then the music started. Wow, this is the quietest record I've ever heard.

Just bought this vinyl. Great sound quality and dead quiet background. However, I can't help but wondering: why it sounds in mono but label and cover all say stereo?referencing Father Of Folk Blues (LP, Album, Limited Edition, Reissue, Remastered, Repress, Stereo, 180g) APB 092
I have some occasional vocal distortion that gets worse towards the inner grooves. I've pretty meticulously aligned this thing and was able to improve, but not eliminate it. I think this record is just sensitive to alignment. Or I damaged it with the first run-through, hard to say. Using an Ortofon 2M Blue on my Pro-Ject X1.
Anyway, other than the very rare vocal distortion for me, this thing sounds incredible. The guitar sounds detailed and the vocals are spot on. Silent record. A+.referencing Death Letter (LP, Album, Reissue) ED 167
Anyone know if this version is in mono, or stereo?referencing Father Of Folk Blues (LP, Album, Stereo) CS 9217
What's going on with the sales history of this pressing? A EU store keeps selling a copy for $29 with the same description, "Shipped with love in our secure packaging. Tip: save shipping costs by placing one order for several items." This can't be an OG copy.
