As with others, disc 1 dished, sorted that with a Michell clamp. Both discs absolutely filthy out of a sealed copy, dreadful paper inners. All that said, following a good clean it sounds pretty damn good

What a deal, an Orbital vinyl that sounds fantastic (both in terms of sonics and sound floor). The vinyl is glossy and dead quiet, no issues but a slightly warped Disc 1, but DNAP. Great artwork, limited packaging, with cool insert. Man, for $18 this was a steal. Orbital albums on wax tend to go for big money down the road for good reason. This one has some good material on it (albeit a bit poppier than their early stuff), and draws the listener in. I’m very glad to own this one.

Another great Orbital album, up there with the best of their albums, showing that they are still a strong current band, not living in the past.

I love all of Orbital albums believe me or not. They make it always unpredictable and mysterious. Blue Album or Altogether also grew on me and I find them fantastic and beyond time. Kids, this one is another bean seeded by giants to grow

I first bought the CD for many reasons: cheaper, I get a bonus disc and all my other Orbitals are CDs. I recently found a copy of this discounted at a local MediaMarkt and of course I couldn't resist the temptation. It sounds great, not dirty (many new records need to be washed before first spin) although I got a little of the GZ carelessness: one of the black dust jackets is torn and folded big time. Not a big deal, but gives you an idea on how things are handled...

I feel some of the comments left here are a tad harsh.orbital have always been ones for sticking in tunes that leave the listener a tad bemused or at least confused.they have proved time and again that they can deliver where it counts.
As one previous reviewer stated, this album will most likely be more appreciated in times to come.is that not the mark of a great musician? Furthermore, aside from the blue album I think this is their best in years, and that got slated when it was released-have you seen the prices it sells for now???

Orbital come on lads you are one of the best dance music acts ever, so why the fuck release some of the crapest music u have ever written. Besides a couple of tracks that are half decent most of the other tracks that have ended up on this album are really poor . It sounds like you have just been the local kids rave EDM school disco and made a album for them to play at there next school disco. I love your music and always will but sorry will have to pass on this one :(.

"Monsters Exist" is a subliminal message on one of the TV Screens in The Box video of 1996.

Surprised nobody has made mention of this release yet. The packaging was in line with their In Sides cover but much darker. Nice ink sketches adorn the inner sleeves and labels. 2-black 180 gm disks for the release and 2-colored vinyl (magenta + blue) disks. I've been listening to it slowly. It's a lot to absorb. Some great new styled sonic passages mixed with classic Orbital beats/harmonics. it might be a grower. A few songs caught my attention and reminded me of the darker, experimental side of "Snivilisation and In Sides." Some felt like high energy festival anthems. We'll see.

New Album Title Trivia - "If Monsters Exist It Was Buried Deep Within" is a line said by Jim Broadbent in Harry Potter 6 : Half Blood Prince. I only know this as just watched the movie for the first time tonight lol. "The Raid" also samples Michael Gambon although not sure where from and the closing sentence "There's A Growing Need..." is Sir Michael Fallon MP of Sevenoaks, the Hartnoll's home town :-)
