Marie Davidson – Working Class Woman

The sound is decent on this pressing (I get some weird blips here and there), but the packaging and artwork are absolutely incredible. Every detail of the aesthetic is crafted with equal amount of attention and effort, and it just all perfectly complements the themes explored on the album. 10/10

Don‘t really get the harsh criticism here. Music is supposed to be fun and I absolutely enjoy this release. I have no problem whatsoever with Marie‘s lyrics. Lighten up guys. I mean come on. She‘s got a gorgeous accent and I do not get why she should be annoying. Great music by a lovely and cool woman.

My record was sealed and did not include the 12 page booklet, is it the same for all represses ? Still the record is amazing.

Sorry everybody, this might sound a little bit hard, but for me this is pseudo intellectual, pseudo arty, pseudo poetic, pseudo conceptional crap.
Not one track...., ok perhaps the last " La chambre" grabs you.
Lyric wise ? This woman has nothing to say (just listen to the opening track)
Music wise? Nothing you haven't heard better somewhere else.
A waste of time.

Dope beats, drums and basslines ruined by poor and annoying poetry.

After a parade of digital singles Marie Davidson released her extraordinary rhythm cascades of modern city life affects investigation. Her gym tonic ‘’Work It’’ techno funk, mental disorders therapy ‘’ The Psychologist’’, love for faster than fast ‘’Workaholic Paranoid Bitch’’ drum machines games and the absolute techno (pop) tune of the year, the killer ‘’So Right’’ were just a part of what we have to expect from her quirky experimentalism techno album. You will be freakin’ with the old school acidness of ‘’Lara’’, the languid illusion of ‘’Day Dreaming’’ and the trancy rave of ‘’Burn Me’’ before her trance Europe express will reach the end next to Francophonic ‘’La Chambre Intérieure’’.

Amazing record. Also perhaps my album art of the year
