Fantastic compilation that features many deep and hard to find cuts that appear on CD for the first time.referencing Disco Spectrum (2×CD, Compilation) BBECD018
Donnafan73 complaining about “the one thing wrong about disco are the songs being to long”. What? Disco is all about the extended mix. The 12” single. Extending that dance. Also,to each their own in regards to taste,or lack of,but saying 80’s “disco” or “dance music” is ALL worthless garbage is also very telling. So many serious jams from 80’s. This guy has zero scope. His review of these comps is questionable.referencing Disco Spectrum (3×LP, Compilation) BBELP018
These Spectrum compilations are great overview with excellent track listings but the mastering / sound quality isn’t the best ( some tracks definitely mastered from vinyl and not that well) so be prepared to seek out the original 12” of those tracks which really move you.referencing Disco Spectrum (2×CD, Compilation) BBECD018
This is one of THE most perfect “Underground" Disco compilations ever to be released.
Compiled by the most respected disco digger Mr Dave Lee, this collects a meticluously sourced, perfectly balanced and varied slection of lesser known disco gems. No tracks are overly long, there are no fillers, and it’s quality all the way in this comp.
Vol. 2 is *almost* as good, but Vol.3 lacks the same standards (with a few notale exceptions).
The DIsco Spectrum series and Jumpin’ 1 & 2 compilations (also compiled by DL) are a VERY good place to start for anyone wishing to build a credible Disco collection.- Edited one year ago

Disappointment - as a lot of stuff on here is post disco(after 1980). When I buy a disco compilation I want to hear true disco(1974-1980) and not 80s dance music junk.Also- the real disco tracks here suffer from the one negative aspect of disco--they're too long! Volume 2 and 3 are great though--much better bets for true disco lovers. referencing Disco Spectrum (3×LP, Compilation) BBELP018
This 3x LP is a gold mine. 5/5. Gold star to anyone that wants to toss up all the BPMs in the notes section haha.referencing Disco Spectrum (3×LP, Compilation) BBELP018
I bought this in 99 when it first came out, after never previously buying a disco record. This record ended up costing me an awful lot of money. Too many classics on here, most of which I now own the 12" of......referencing Disco Spectrum (2×CD, Compilation) BBECD018
