Bauhaus – Bela Lugosi's Dead - The Bela Session

Lovely packaging but sadly the audio is terrible - very audible digital aliasing, either taken from a low bitrate file or something went terribly wrong in the transfer.

Do not buy this record.

After a good cleaning it sounds good to me especially the parts were Peter Murphy starts saying “OHH BEEEELLLAAAA”, my setup is pretty basic (Turntable and speakers) but hey, its enough to make me happy

'Bela Lugosi's Dead' spins fideliously at 45RPM & sounds terrific on my hi-fi. Good space to the atmospheric sound, nice bass & dead-silent vinyl as well. Sounds better the louder I play it in fact...

Fantastic record with excellent sound quality. However, with my copy the label was slightly loose around the center hole. Leading to some peeling. That's a bit disappointing. It seems like there are some quality control issues. That said, I am still fortunate with my copy as it sounds very good!

This is nice. It sounds great. Everything cool. I sometimes think this is the place to bitch about bad luck or bad copies. Because if there is some, this is the place to read about them. Some people should go back to CDs. I purchased one copy, and it's beautiful in every way. I'll probably frame the poster.

A bit of skipping but it adds to the appeal

It seems to me that there's another variant of the black coloured reissue, although the red/black has the same matrix runout. Mine has the following:
Matrix / Runout (Side A runout, etched): S-103191 LR150 A 347271
Matrix / Runout (Side B runout, etched): S-103192 LR150B 347272

My copy also has "347271" etched in the runout on side one, and "347272" etched in the runout on side two. Very quiet pressing, too.

Fantastic sound quality, dead silent pressing, and just an awesome archival release in general.
