When I read that they cleaned the record before they play it and hear issue with the record I take more serious. I ultrasonic cleaned this record and it sounds great.

Beautiful mastering by Bob Ludwig, and smooth cut by Bernie Grundman.
No pops and clicks or surface noise.

I regret buying this one, paid almost 40 EUR for it too. The vinyl is average quality with rough edges. The sound is muddy, lacking detail and bassy. Shame because there are a lot of nice details in the music that I was looking forward to hearing.

Five stars for songwriting and performance. Knopfler hits it out of the park with this album.
4 stars for recording quality - the digital recordings of today just don't have the clarity and depth of soundstage. Put any Dire Straits album up against newer recordings like this and you'll hear the difference.
4 stars for vinyl quality. Both discs have a very slight dish warp.
2 stars for packaging. The glue on the jacket has separated completely and the material of the inner sleeves leave marks on the vinyl and promote static. I had to use new static-free poly sleeves after cleaning the records on my Okki.

Brilliant music & performance, & a great recording with an incredible amount of detail. This is one of those great recordings that never fails to reveal more and more fine detail as your system gets better and better. My pressing is quiet.
