Velvet Crush - Teenage Symphonies to God is like a bubblegum Notorious Byrd Brothers from the 90s. Not exactly groundbreaking stylistically, but the songwriting and performances are great throughout. It's an album that always makes me feel good. And their cover of Gene Clark's Why Not Your Baby is just fantastic. Highest recommendation

Stumbling upon this album in the mid 90's, it felt really out of place. The tone of the guitars, the vocals, and the whole mix had a strange quality to it that made it very distinctly Not from the 90's- they've got to be time travelers or thawed out from groovier times with Austin Powers?! This album feels raw, yet somehow polished. It struck me as hidden treasure and I've never forgotten this record. It's every bit as enjoyable decades later as when it was made.
I was instantly and forever-more a fan of the Velvet Crush.

A power pop classic and one of the great Creation records from the mid 90s. The vinyl is a rare find! Would deserve a nice reissue for sure.
