toothbrush country got played alot in the mid 1990s - almost like a bonus beat - the track is devoid of a bassline and mostly percussion + samples

is toothbrush country seems a mashed up remix version of "hey baby"? https://www.discogs.com/Armand-Van-Helden-Presents-Old-School-Junkies-Alright/release/1387491

New York Express? When listening to this "ride", Armand's train also seems to serve London and Amsterdam, possibly three cities Armand wanted to pay tribute to. After nearly 4 minutes the ride suddenly stops... and Armand's express turns into a runaway train, before returning back on track for another 2 minutes.
The other two tracks on this three-tracker are not as strong as the A-side, but stll a fine addition.

For the 1997 remix, Armand must have been inspired by the Eurotunnel, as he named the version "London to Amsterdam mix" (this is the unreleased mix Strictly Rhythm is referring to). As we all know, the London to Amsterdam high-speed service also serves Belgium, and it should not be a coincidence that for this version, the Belgian dance classic "Moskow Diskow" by Telex is sampled here. The "whoo-whoo" adds to the feeling, but this remix version misses the runaway part of the original.
