One of MoM's finest works, it's better as an ambient/experimental release than as a soundtrack. Images would take too much away from the music, which deserves attention in its own right. Highlights include the wonderful Bolero-esque awakening on "Port Dusk", the brief industrial-meets-hip-hop interlude "Tiplet Metal Plate" and exultant closer "Glim", which fills me with joy every time I hear it.
Clearly meant to be heard on vinyl - the CD reissue has some bonus tracks, but many of these are filler (most notably Hetzchase Nailway, 5 minutes of squelchy foreboding which almost kills the album's pace). The original tracklisting has no fat on it. The vinyl also has better bass response, which is key for many of the songs which feature low frequencies.

The three 'bonus' tracks that come with this re-issue were already included on the initial CD versions of this release. The LP version on Sonig excluded tracks 3, 4 & 14 that are found here.

Mouse On Mars made the soundtrack for this film called Glam (featuring Tony Danza). They rejected the soundtrack and the film flopped.
