The National – Boxer

Nothing but positive things to say about this pressing. Full sound, no noise, and it's a masterpiece.

Great pressing. My copy is quiet and has no issues at all.

A great and solid album. I have read some of the reviews concerning sound quality, and I am perplexed. My pressing, on gray vinyl is flawless. No pops crackles and excellent acoustic output. I Use Linn Magick turntable with Keff 109 speakers. Amplification is a Yackoff Arrinoff Tube amplifier with 6560's and 12AX7s.

Everything matches this version. Bought it from their merch table at the Austin, TX concert November 17, 2023.
How is this a 2007 pressing?

Fantastic album. Sadly, my pressing has a fair amount of surface noise, even after multiple cleanings.
Trouble Will Find Me is the best sounding National album I have on vinyl.

Found a sealed copy in the ‘used’ section at a record store, was pretty excited because I’ve got a few VMP pressings that are great. Tracks without surface noise sound fantastic, unfortunately that’s only about 5 of them. This is probably in the bottom 25% of my collection for quality, even though the album itself is amazing.

This one matches matrix numbers from this re-issue (https://www.discogs.com/release/3120491-The-National-Boxer) and the common consensus on that press seem to be overall positive.

I thought it nice on my midrange system, for what it's worth. I did give it a thorough wash before my last spin, so maybe that helped.

Astounding pressing. I'll just echo everyone who's already commented on how it great sounds. It's a masterful job for a masterful album. Three thumbs up!

Five stars! My best sounding the National vinyl in the collection. It has a perfect warmth. It sounds real with lots of dynamics and a great soundstage. Matt’s voice on ‘Green Gloves’ is right in front of you. ‘Slow Show’ is a highlight!

One of the best pressings in my collection, sound is full and clear.
