A great sounding, punkpopska with ramped musicianship and catchy tunes. The acoustic varies from brilliant to bloody awful, but whatever, and the DVD is for those who are into that.- Edited one year agoOriginal presses have Kevin Gray (KPG@ATM) in the dead wax and have a hype sticker stating, "Includes Coupon For A Free MP3 Download Of This Entire Album" with a picture of an iPod. Current reissues do not contain Kevin Gray in the dead wax or hype sticker. Reissue also has a larger barcode on the back of the jacket.
- This record didn't do much for me when it came out. Listening to it more and more though the years makes me realise that's it a very good effort on par with Indestructible for the variety and song writing quality. It has a bit of everything, some old school punk, some ska, some folk.
This particular pressing in nice and sounds really good. - I listened to Rancid for years. Somewhere along my musical journey, I strayed from punk and went to explore 60's and 70's blues rock. I saw this in a record store on clearance. Just seeing the Rancid stencil type took me right back. I haven't listened to them in probably 8 years. But bam! Every song came back. I had to get this. I know this sounds awful, but I didn't know they were still together. I figured this was a bunch of B-sides. Low and behold, it's a studio release! And it sounds great! This goes beyond nostalgia. It's a great record from a band that has made a lot of good records. I think it touches on every phase they've gone through too. You'll hear ska like on Life Won't Wait, but you'll also near the nitty gritty punk from their earlier albums. Heck, you even hear Matt sing. I mean, how can any Rancid fan not like this album. And this release, with the book and poster and other goodies. It's worth it.
