Great great album! Like lukenative reviews before, it will blow you away! Especially 'The Exploding Psychology'. Its such a damn massive track with so much freakness in it and that great 'come down' half tempo finish with this brilliant two unison synth figures - just heavenly! If you want to totally freak out the crowd just play 'Boneville Occident' which is such a great 'in your face' joint with some nice unexpected 'sorry, not this way' breaks in it. The closing of this LP 'Plaistow Flex Out' is a great atmospheric downtempo track which is really an excellent finish for a superb strange record.

If you like this album, dont miss the 'My Red Hot Car' single which includes a amusing version of 'I Wish You Could Talk' called 'I Wish You Obelisk'.

One of Toms bests. Thanks man!

To anyone who doubts that Tom Jenkinson is one of the craziest minds in all of music, one only needs to listen to "Greenways Trajectory"; which starts off insane enough, before devolving into complete rhythmless psychosis(it truly sounds like the upcoming man vs machine war).

My third Pusher album(as crazy as that sounds), from the opening swagger of "My Red Hot Car" to the closing laid-back sleaze of "Plaistow Flex-out", this is definitely one for the collection. "The Exploding Psychology" is spine-tingling. "Go! Spastic" definitely lives up to its name(rarely dropping below 200+ BPM), and "My Fucking Sound" couldn't be further from its namesake on MRON if it tried.

NOT the place to start one's journey into Tom's mind, but a very rewarding(if not completely maddening) listen.

One of the most amazing electronic albums ever made. I have been listening to this since it's release and I am still blown away. A masterpiece of creative work. This is when Squarepusher made his mark.

Full of abrupt and annoying sounds in a jumbled mess. There are a couple of tracks that have actual melodies and bearable soundscapes, but most of this stuff I can hardly consider music. Definitely not Squarepusher's best work, 1/5.

And yeah, I know: I just "didn't get it". Well, if you want to be a part of a fancy little club, that "understands" music that no one else does, then this is right up your alley. Everyone else will probably want to steer clear of this crap.

Tom Jenkinson at his best.
Go plastic is a personnal vision and a mental twister from Squarepusher's prolific mind.
There is sounds, tracks and shapes in this album that put your hears over and over. You will discorver little noises after listening my red hot car, or my fucking sound, even if it's not the first time that you listen to it.
Go plastic makes everyone crazy, the scratches at the midlle are amazing and the mix of experimental and d'n'b into the beats puts the all track into a wierd dancing movement.
The masterpiece of the album is, i think, the exploding psychology. This track it's like a sick dream of what any experimental track should be. I'm not kidding, the pads and the work on the echoes make any electronic lover put on his knees saying respect, respect. The melody at the end will grab your skin for a long time...
Another crazy sound is greenways trajectory. Remembering mixing it in a free party when the sun rise up, and all the dogs of the place came over the wall, screaming and yealing at it. There's ultrasounds at the middle end, will you hear it ?
Plainstow flex out is the way for squarepusher to remind us that he can also do slow things, suchlike tommib.

This is a mark in electronic history, don't miss it !

When I first listened to this, a few years ago, I didn't know this kind of freak music yet, and I didn't like it, except My Red Hot Car and the beautiful melodic part of The Exploding Psychology.
I listened to this again and again, and I began to understand the music. I began to understand that it was the real music, the less boring stuff.
Now, I find My Red Hot Car less cool, but The Exploding Psychology and I Wish You Could Talk are the two best tracks I know. And Plaistow Flex Out the best acid-ambient track. The all piece is a chef d'oeuvre, for me the most important album from Squarepusher, my favourite artist for this.

Listen to this in the night, lightless.

I was turned on to Jenkinson via the "Vic Acid" ep. Which could never have prepared me for this album. Go Plastic is as amazing as a record could possibly be. "Greenways Trajectory" blew my little mind. The sound of drums-n-bass forcing itself into the sky. The sheer underlining excitement of "My Fucking Sound" as compared to "My Sound" from "Music Is Rotted" is also exceptional. From the quiet church-like solemness of "Tommib" to "Go! Spastic" and what it implies, to the smooth bubbling chill of "Plaistow Flex Out" this is a record of greatness to anyone who truly loves electronic music.

This has got to be the most advanced Squarepusher stuff. I know there's plenty of this type of music around, but the sheer quality of it it both inspiring and depressing- I'm never going to make music this good. Try playing with it on your samplers, slow it down and it still sounds champion. It'd be great if you could slow it right down and just wallow in it, like a work of art. Hooks? Aplenty. Foul-mouthed and fast like a night at the dogs.

Lots of blitzed out drill and bass with experimental noises and sounds thrown in. Not much in the way of memorable hooks or melodies.
