An outstanding work connecting the dots between Detroit and Germany via Manchester. This is basically an essential Fall record. One of the best recordings from the 00's.- Edited 10 years ago

What looks like an album inspired by Mark E. Smith listening to LCD Soundsystem's "Losing My Edge" and realizing that someone else was doing his modern him instead of him, turns out to be one of the most fun of both parties' discography (though ironically Mark E. Smith sounds very much like James Murphy at parts). Glitchy 2-step, glitchy hip hop rhythms, glitchy dubstep, some of the pastoral sounds heard in Niun Niggung or Radical Connectors, and loads of the funniest ramblings. Standout: "The Rhinohead", the poppiest of their careers that is the closest Mouse on Mars have been to indie rock. And the video for "Fledermaus Can't Get It".
