Edited one year agoAmazing album; unfortunately the sound quality of my pressing leaves something to be desired. Rather muddy and bass-heavy. Drowns out some of the guitars and even vocals at some points. On the bright side there were very few crackles and pops, and the pink is aesthetically pleasing. YMMV, just my personal impression.
Edit: Gave it another try (when I was in a different mood, I guess?) and found the bass-heavy sound actually pretty bitchin. This album kicks so much butt that on second listen I have to admit that while it is a bit muddy-sounding, it kind of goes well with the vibe of the album. It's cut hot, so crank it up and enjoy the low end.
Couldn't agree more with the previous comment. In my opinion, this is as good as an album can get: bright gatefold + download code + lyrics printed on the inner sleeve + astounding vinyl colors + flat/clean/dynamic copy. Only minimal surface noise can be noticed in-between tracks but it isn't a big deal.
My copy sounds pretty awesome. Minimum noise and crisp, clean sound. Not muddied at all, but not much separation either. Great bass. Pesto bismal pink is a cool look.
Also, this is still on Amazon for like 32 bucks canadian with 1 day delivery. Fuck the scalpers.
Pretty vinyl and nice packaging and overall good clear sound it just sounds kinda flat, especially on side A
Pressing sounds really good and i love the color combo, hopefully PUP's first album gets repressed soon
According to the Rise Records website, this variant is "beer".- Isn't this just the green vinyl with yellow splatter? Anyone have any photos?
